YOUR HERBS

SELECT THE HERB

1

Decide on which herb you want to grow! You may want to select herbs that strikes your fancy such as those that you will commonly use for cooking.

PLANT CONSIDERATIONS

2

Do check the specific requirements of the desired plant you have chosen to grow in our Herbs tab or click the button below!

3

USE GOOD QUALITY TOP SOIL

Good soil mixes are available in nurseries and garden centers and is commonly known as potting soil.

Good types of topsoil are those with a loamy texture having a mixture of between 7% to 27% clay, 28% to 50% silt and under 52 % sand. These topsoils tend to have a low water-retention capacity and are easy to till.

4

CHOOSE PROPAGATION METHOD

Occasionally, plants do not produce viable seeds, or the seeds
consistently germinate poorly, for example, rosemary.

Some plants do not develop the desired characteristics when grown from seed. For example, mint does not have a strong flavour when they are grown from seeds. These plants can be grown from stem cutting, root division, runner or crown division.

Every plant is an individual with its own specific requirements.
